This weekend I read a story named “The Little March Girl”. Hans Christian Anderson wrote this story .It is a very interesting story.

On the New Year’s eve , a poor little girl walked in the street with bare feet. It was terribly cold. She was suffering hunger and cold. She was very afraid to come back home because she didn’t sell any match all day. If her father knew that she didn’t sell a match, he would beat her. So she found a corner and sat down .She felt very cold, she thought the match would make her hands warm, so she lit a match. She lit three matches, she saw many magical things in the light: a warm stove, a roast goose and a Christmas tree. When she lit the fourth match, she saw her grandmother who died many years ago. And then she flew higher and higher into the air with her grandmother. The little girl could live happily with her grandmother.                                                          

After reading this story, I feel very happy, because I have a happy childhood. M y father is very kind and my mother is very patient. I can get the chance to go to school. My parents love me very much. But in the story, the little girl had a miserable childhood. She must go out to sell matches everyday and all day. The little girl wore dirty clothes. She couldn’t get new clothes, even a pair of shoes. She couldn’t get the chance to go to school. The little girl had a poor family. Her house was shabby. She must go to sell matches in a terrible cold day with bare feet in order to make a living.

I am angry with the little girl’s father after reading this story. He couldn’t give the little girl a happy childhood. He let the little girl go to sell matches in a freezing cold day with bare feet, but he stayed at home himself. If the little girl didn’t sell any match, he would beat her. What a venomous father! He didn’t love the little girl. Nobody loves the girl expert her grandmother, but her grandmother died many years ago. The girl was so poor. If the little girl’s father could find a job and earned some money, the little girl would not suffer hunger and cold. If her father loves her daughter, the girl would have happy or needn’t go to sell matches in a cold day. She can stay at home. It is warmer than go out in a terribly cold day, I think.

These days, a lot of children can get the chance to go to school. They are very happy, their parents love them very much, and their parents can buy anything as long as their child ask for any. Now, we live in a warm house, wear beautiful clothes and eat delicious food. We needn’t go to work, we needn’t make money, and we just need study hard. It is not difficult, right? How happy we are!

We must value our happy life. Our patents love us very much, so we must pity our patents, because they work very hard to raise us.
