Well, that was amazing. A girl followed a talking rabbit, fell down a deep hole, and saw many things never seen before: some drink and food that can make people bigger or smaller, a cat which can vanish and appear in a moment, an endless tea-party, and the Queen of Hearts who often shouts “Off with his hand!” or “Off with her head!” The girl’s name was Alice, of course, in the book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

I find people there are very strange. For instance, here’s the conversation between Alice and the bird when Alice was testing the mushroom:

“Egg thief! Egg thief! Go away!”

“I’m not an egg thief.”

“Oh no? But you eat eggs, don’t you?”

“Well, yes, I do, but I don’t steal them. We have them for breakfast, you know.”

“Then how do you get them, if you don’t steal them?”

We won’t ask questions like this, knowing that we get eggs from farms, but logically developing the origin of things we turn a blind eye to is interesting. If you do this, though, people might think you are strange.

Another example is when Alice and the Hatter were discussing about a wordgame, she said, “Well, I mean what I said. And that’s the same thing, you know.” But the Hatter disagreed. “I see what I eat means one thing, but I eat what I see means something very different.” As we know, the Hatter’s example can’t match with Alice’s. When Alice said “I mean what I said”, she meant that “what I said is the same as what I mean”. But in the Hatter’s example, “what I see” contains “what I eat” entirely, but “what I eat” doesn’t contain “what I see” entirely. “What I see” and “what I eat” are not the same.

The examples above represent the ability we need to solve some problems in our lives: logic. Without logic, you might make mistakes like the Queen--” Off with his head! The jury can say what it thinks later.”—or the King, who thought that if someone wears a hat which doesn’t belong to him, the hat must be stolen.
