I still remember when I was a little kid living in the south pacific experienced a hurricane. It was a sunny afternoon; nobody knew that there would be a big hurricane that night. At four o’clock in the afternoon, there were still a lot of people going shopping on the street. But at about five o’clock, the sky suddenly turned to black. After a little while, it started to rain, at first it only rained a few little drops, but later, it rained heavier and heavier. The people on the street all went back home. My father said to me,” There maybe a hurricane tonight, we should go home now.” So we closed all our shops early and went back home quickly. When we reached home, it was raining heavily, so we ran outside to our balcony and grabbed all our clothes and brought them inside, they were all wet. After that, we closed the doors and windows. At about seven o’clock, the wind started to blow, making a lot of scary noises. My father told everyone in the house to check if we had enough food and water, but luckily we still had enough that could feed us for a few days. And then my father went to take a torch, it seemed that he knew something was going to happen. After that, we heard on the radio and it said,” Tonight there will be a big hurricane in the Northern Division.” That made us even scarier. So we all sat together in the sitting room. Suddenly, the electricity cut off, we couldn’t see anything until my cousin-sister put the torch on. It was not very clear, but we still could see that there were some leaves and branches flying in the sky. I was very scared that I couldn’t even know what to do, but justhid in a corner and kept my fingers crossed for the terrible hurricane to go away.

    In the morning, when we woke up, we could see that many people’s houses were badly damaged, but luckily no one was hurt.
