After celebrating the traditional Chinese New Year, on the thirteenth of February our family decided to go to “the city of star” ---- Changsha. I felt excited because I have heard that Changsha has many places of interest. Finally, I determined to see the beauty of Changsha and have a good time there.
The day we left Guangzhou was a sunny day. The sun was shinning and the weather was good. I thought that the weather in Changsha will not be so bad, and I will not feel cold there.
We went to Changsha by high speed railway and it only took two hours and forty minutes to get there. When I left the train, suddenly I was frozen. So I put on my jacket quickly. We arrived there at three o’clock in the afternoon. We went to my aunt’s house. I stay at my aunt’s house every time I came to Changsha, and I do not have to stay in the hotel. Her family welcomed us every time and treated us very well. But the most exciting part was that I can play with my elder brother Nick, and we used to play with each other very well. After eating some dumplings and fried rice with egg, I watched TV and went outside for dinner. We came to a hotel called “Xiangshui Bay” for our buffet dinner.
I was very excited because I saw tuna sashimi, salmon sashimi and other kinds of delicious sashimi. Finish eating these raw foods with mustard, I began to eat some hash browns and purple sweet potato balls. They tasted crisp but if people eat to mush of them ,and they are easy to get inflamed. Then I tried some handle less cups of double-stewed soup. There are some kinds of medicine materials, for example, pseuds ginseng and American ginseng. The soup smelt appetizing. It is nutrient and good for human body. After drinking these soups, I began to eat the main courses. The grilled beef steak, grilled smelts and chicken cutlet are all yummy. For dessert, I ate puddings, tiramisu and many pieces of chesses cakes. I felt my stomach was full that night, but I wish I can eat more delicious food.
On the second day, I went to “Hei Mi Feng Forestry” with my aunt, uncle and my brother Nick. It was thirty kilometer away from Changsha and it was 590.5 meter high. My elder brother’s hometown was there. My aunt told me that, the temperature was quite low on the mountain. So I put on my sweater and down coat, just in case.
We spent one hour and arrive at the foot of the mountain. We do not
have to pay for the ticket of the national forest park because nobody has to pay money for going back to their hometown. While my uncle was droving us to the place where is nearly to the top of the mountain, the sky began to snow. That was the third time which I saw snow. How excited I was! We climbed the hill there and played the snow on the ground. Nick and I enjoyed ourselves.
After playing with the snow, we had our lunch. We ate a lot because we felt hungry. Although the meal was very spicy, but we thought it was a fantastic taste. I could still remember the amazing tastes of the meat and vegetables.
