| With the fantastic spur
both in industry and in economy in China, there is an increasing number of
people are using computers and cell phones to communicate now than face-to-face
communication. Thus, some people claim that they are losing face-to-face
communication abilities. While others state that using computers and cell
phones to communicate have no effects on their face-to-face communication
abilities.
I partly agree that parts
of people are losing face-to-face communication abilities because they use
computers and cell phones to communicate too much.
As computers and cell
phones communication has become one of the most vital part of the adults’ work,
they are absolutely making working more efficiency as adults can use it
anywhere, anytime. However, working adults will not lose the face-to-face
communication abilities because they also need to communicate face-to-face at
the same time they use computers and cell phones to communicate.
What is more, teenagers
and children are also using computers and cell phones to chat online. Among
them will be some children whose language feature are not fully developed. They
may lose the face-to-face communication abilities after chatting online too
much. Generally speaking, adults have a fully developed language features, so
they will have no problems about this.
However, there are also
some adults may lose their face-to-face abilities. This group of people is
called otaku who always spend most of their time online at home without going
out. These kind of people have few and even no face-to-face communications which
means they almost only use computers and cell phones to communicate. This
groups of people on the society will absolutely lose language features.
All in all, from my point
of view, most people will not lose the face-to-face communication abilities if
they use computer and cell phones to communicate while some children and adults
will get some effects on their language features. |
