Teaching plan of writing- My invention

一、定位：

output-based，以写和说为主。

二、教学目标：

1. Students can use a spidergram to teach Ss how to talk about their own inventions.

2. Students can write a short article about their own inventions.

3. Students become interested in inventions and try to invent some useful things to make our life better, to make our study easier and make ourselves happier.

三、教学环节设计:

 Step 1: Warm-up

Show some pictures to arouse the students’ interest in inventions.

Step2: Presentation

a.      Use some pictures to present some new words and useful sentences.

b.     Use the spidergram to help the students to make plans for inventions.

c.      Present the sample article on P60.  And analyze that there are three basic parts ( introduction, body and closing) for the article of inventions. At the same time, find some useful sentences.

Step3: Writing

Get Ss to write a short article about your invention. Use the spidergram and the example to help you. And then some students will read out their articles for the others to decide the inventor of Nobel Prize Here.

My invention

Introduction  My invention is a flying car. It is fast, convenient and green!

Body:

The flying car has four wheels and two wings. It has a top speed of 300km/h.You can go to farther places in a short time.

It can run on land and fly in the air. If you shout”fly”. The car will turn into a plane in 30 seconds. Then you can fly in the air. You will as free as a bird.

Instead of petrol. The car uses solar power, so it will not pollute the air.

Body

Closing: My invention will help people live a better life in the future.

Step4 Summary

Inventions are very helpful and important for human beings. I hope all our interesting inventions of today will come true in the future. And we are sure that more and more inventions will make  our life better, to make our study easier and make ourselves happier.
